Opmerking over nieuwe items

Vergeet niet om een instance of (P31) aan je nieuwe items toe te voegen. Hierdoor word het voor andere gebruikers en bots makkelijker om te zien waar het item over gaat. Als je dit doet, verschijnen er ook nuttige suggesties in beeld. Bij mensen bijvoorbeeld geslacht, geboortedatum en land van nationaliteit en bij liedjes de uitvoerende artiest en het genre. Normale verklaring en kwalificaties

Let goed op welke knop je indrukt: nu verschijnen alle verklaringen die je toevoegt als kwalificaties van een verklaring. Hiermee kun je een verklaringv verduidelijken, daarvan is nu geen sprake. Daarnaast, zoals ik al eerder zei, instance of (P31)human (Q5) toevoegen en dingen als "drummer" of "zanger" als occupation (P106) toevoegen. Als je een instance of (P31) toevoegt, komen er nuttige suggesties in beeld wanneer je een nieuwe verklaring toevoegt. Sjoerd de Bruin (talk) 20:45, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

I write about different matters and it's too complicated for me to get all forms right. I only note what it's important, if it's not at the right place, then sorry. If it's jibber-jabber don't hesitate to ask and to look to examples. There is people here that can help and explain things to you.

The problem is that we have to do the job twice and we could introduce error by mistake (for example when moving the date of birth (P569), we could forgot a number and changing 1950 in 195 :( ) ; it would be easier for everybody if you could do things right in the first place. For person, instance of (P31) is always equal to human (Q5) and only to human (Q5).

Thank nonetheless for your work, in the end your right, a good information in the bad place is better than no information at all.

Items over personen

In een poging geautomatiseerd geboortedata te importeren uit infoboxen liep ik tegen een aantal items van jou aan, waar je geprobeerd hebt een item aan te maken, maar deze kloppen niet. Voor mensen gebruiken we altijd instance of (P31)human (Q5). Als je een voorbeeld wilt hebben hoe ze eruit moeten zien, kijk maar eens naar de wijzigingen die ik doorgevoerd heb op Q21684466. Qualifier use

I notice that you seem to be putting in many statements as qualifiers to instance of (P31). In Q22138174, for example, you added country (P17), place of birth (P19), date of birth (P569), date of death (P570), place of death (P20), and religion or worldview (P140) as qualifiers. All of these should be independent statements, and using qualifiers instead makes the data completely unusable. The only acceptable qualifiers for instance of (P31) are said to be the same as (P460), of (DEPRECATED) (P642), start time (P580), part of (P361), and end time (P582). Could you be more specific about what parts of the system you don't understand? Qualifiers are those things you keep adding when you click the "add qualifier" button (or "kwalificatie toevoegen" if your language settings are set to Dutch). Statements are those things that you add by clicking the "add" ("toevoegen") (as opposed to "add reference"/"bron toevoegen" or "add qualifer"/"kwalificatie toevoegen") button. When you're adding a new piece of data, you're usually supposed to be pressing the "add" ("toevoegen") button, not the "add qualifier" ("kwalificatie toevoegen") button, unless it's actually qualifying the statement. --Yair rand (talk) 10:20, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

As stated above, when I tick on "is een" and fill in "Mens", I get ten items to choose from. The start of Wikidata in the Netherlands was wrong. Only after a month I got a sign, that I had to put my items on Wikidata as well. That was the only thing told to me. Further on every time someone tries to explain to me, how it works I get P-this, P-that. It is not that I want to frustrate the system and persons, but I just don't understand how to put things at the right place. I will try again tomorrow. Ceescamel (talk) 22:33, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

Muzikaal Nederland 1850-1910

Beste Ceescamel, Ik zie dat je op nlwiki veel gebruik hebt gemaakt van het naslagwerk Muzikaal Nederland 1850-1910 (Q72682183). Op Wikidata kan je referenties naar dit werk maken met stated in (P248), zie voorbeeld. Op eenzelfde manier kan je van andere naslagwerken een wikidata-item aanmaken en naar refereren. Ik weet nog niet of ik hier tijd voor heb, maar ik zit er aan te denken de tekst uit dit werk om te vormen in gestrucutreerde data. Helaas is het ?-teken niet heel goed herkend door de OCR --1Veertje (talk) 11:02, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Veertje; ik hou me verre van Wikidata; ik vind het te ingewikkeld; ben niet goed thuis in de IT. Ik hou het boek alleen aan als een gids in muziekland van rond die tijd. Het is wat onbetrouwbaar (vriendjespolitiek), maar wordt nog wel gehanteerd in muziekland, bleek laatst bij een brag van mij aan Leo Samama. Beste Ceescamel, De manier waarom je dit item bewerkte maakte het voorkomen alsof al die bronnen de datum die jij invoerde ondersteunde terwijl deze bronnen enkel het jaar noemen. Ik heb in het item voorgedaan hoe je verschillende niveaus van accuratie kan verwerken in een Wikidata-item. 1Veertje (talk) 12:33, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Beste 1Veertje; dit is een van de redenen waarom ik hier meest wegblijf. Stel er staan dertien verkeerde geboortdata in Wikidata, uit dertien verschillende bronnen. Vervolgens wil ik de juiste invullen omdat het gecontroleerd is in de BS, dan zouden al die foute data en bronnen bewaard moeten blijven. Zodra iemand weer een andere datum uit een weer andere bron toevoegt, komt die erbij te staan. Hoe moet dan iemand bij raadpleging een keus maken voor de datum in zijn/haar artikel en ook binnen Wikipedia zelf. Dan kan het dus voorkomen dat er in diverse Wikipedia-artikelen diverse geboortedata staan en de lezer dus zelf weer op onderzoek moet gaan. Er is volgens mij hier al een uitgebreide discussie over geweest op de nl, mij is de uitslag onbekend omdat het verviel in eindeloze discussie wat nu exact op wikidata genoteerd zou moeten worden. Een oplossing zou zijn te vermelden dat het nagezocht is in de BS, maar dat kan alleen voor Nederland en een deel van Belgi?,Ceescamel (talk) 08:41, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Om nog even verder te gaan. Die exacte geboortedatum zou nu afkomstig zijn van de DBNL, maar die blijkt het gehaald te hebben NNBW en laat dat boek nu juist befaamd zijn om haar foute geboorte- en sterftedata. Het zijn stukjes die door de personen of familieleden zijn geschreven of zijn gehaald uit het NBW van Van der Aa. Ik heb de datum gehaald uit de Letzer, Kruseman en Robijns-boeken, maar ook daarin moet ik soms corrigeren,Ceescamel (talk) 08:50, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

Die ellende was goed te zien bij Samuel de Lange jr. (Q481555). De Catalaanse meldde twee verschillende geboortemaanden; da, de en de ru meldden februari; en, nl en sv oktober; binnen 5 minuten was duidelijk dat het 22 feb is. Overigens meldden alle bronnen al dat het 22 feb is, maar ergens is dus die datum 22 okt opgedoken,Ceescamel (talk) 10:03, 18 June 2020 (UTC)

I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.
